Mr. Sathees, also known as Author Mullai, is the Training Coordinator for Valikaamam Zone in Jaffna District. He has gained recognition for his significant contributions to Tamil literature in Sri Lanka. Hailing from the Thiriyai village in the Trincomalee District, his educational journey led him to earn a Bachelor's degree in Tamil with second-class upper division honors from the University of Jaffna. Following his graduation, he became eligible to serve as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Tamil for a period of 12 months.

Throughout his academic career, Mr. Sathees has received several prestigious awards, including the Chellammah Rajendram Scholarship, Kamalathevy Vithiananthan Memorial Award, The Emily Grace Barr Chelvanayagam Memorial Prize, Rasaretnam Veerasingham (Nee) Chelliah Memorial Prize, Then-Puloly Kathamurgesanar Memorial Award, and the Prof. A. Sathasivam Memorial Award for his exceptional performance as a student at the University of Jaffna. Additionally, he was honored with the "Kuralnerich Chemmal' Special Award for his outstanding presentation at the International Thirukkural Conference held at Thanjavur Navalar N.M. Venkadasaamy Naattar Thiruvarul College in Tamil Nadu, India.

Mr. Sathees' personal experiences have been deeply shaped by the challenges he faced, particularly as he resided in the border areas of the Mullaitivu-Trincomalee districts during the civil war. His first-hand encounters with the perils of war and his journey to seek a better life have transformed him into an author who can vividly express his life experiences. He has authored a total of nine books, encompassing novels, poems, and research publications. Furthermore, he has contributed over 30 research articles to international journals and conferences.

In Mr. Sathees' view, today's youth face a multitude of complex social issues that not only affect their own well-being but also the well-being of their families and society at large. His commitment is to create an environment where children can develop the skills needed to instigate social change. He firmly believes in the transformative power of education, and he aspires to provide children with access to quality education that can profoundly impact their lives and the lives of others.
