Ms. Jeyanathan Mathura serves as the Training Coordinator for Vadamaradchy at Visions Global Empowerment Sri Lanka, where she coordinates and implements leadership development, life skills, and youth empowerment programmes across schools and communities in the Vadamaradchy region. She also serves as an effective leadership trainer, facilitating interactive training programmes that help young people develop confidence, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while inspiring them to become responsible and active citizens.

Mathura holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Jaffna. Her academic interests include sociology, gender studies, community development, youth empowerment, social inclusion, and applied social research. She is passionate about understanding social dynamics and using research to inform community-based interventions that improve the lives of vulnerable populations.

During her undergraduate studies, she completed an internship with the Ministry of Women's Affairs, Northern Provincial Council, where she gained practical experience in women's empowerment and community development programmes. She has also volunteered with Save a Life, the University of Jaffna, and the Active Citizens Programme, demonstrating a strong commitment to community service and youth engagement. She successfully completed the Leadership Training for Aspiring Graduates conducted by Visions Global Empowerment, which laid the foundation for her career as a leadership facilitator.

Mathura has actively contributed to social research and knowledge generation. She presented research on "Sexual Harassment in Public Transport and Ex-Combatants in Social Reintegration" at the 8th International Conference on Contemporary Management (ICCM 2024) at the University of Jaffna. She also presented her undergraduate research on "Socio-Economic Challenges Faced by Young Female-Headed Households" at the 4th Undergraduate Research Symposium in Arts (URSA). These experiences have strengthened her understanding of gender, social inequality, and community resilience.

As a Training Coordinator, Mathura plans and delivers leadership and life skills training programmes, mentors student leaders, coordinates school-based activities, and works closely with teachers, school administrators, and community stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of Visions' programmes. Her engaging facilitation style, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to connect with young people have made her a valued leadership trainer within the organization.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mathura is an accomplished sportsperson who represented the University of Jaffna in volleyball and was awarded University Half Colours in 2019 and 2022. Earlier, she was recognized as a Provincial Volleyball Champion, reflecting her dedication, teamwork, and leadership both on and off the field.

Through her work at Visions Global Empowerment Sri Lanka, Mathura is committed to empowering young people with the knowledge, leadership competencies, and life skills they need to realize their aspirations, contribute positively to their communities, and become agents of sustainable social change.
